"βίος" (pronounced BY-oss) is the Greek word for life; from it comes the root word of our English word "biology." At Bios Ranch, everything we do is centered around fostering, harboring and creating more life--more bios--here on the north central Oklahoma plains.

Every part of our operation works together as a system. The cows open up the grass canopy and fertilize it, creating a more hospitable environment for insects. The chickens feed on the newly arrived insects--resulting in more flavorful and nutritious chicken! The biology in the manure of the chickens alters the rhizosphere, further increasing the number of species attracted to the farm. This results in the growth of a more nutritious and diverse grass sward, which makes for healthier cows--resulting in more flavorful and nutritious beef! And the cycle continues.

We manage our operation with regenerative practices, striving to provide our animals with optimal qualities of life, our land with the best natural care, and you with meat products that are both healthful and tasty.

Bios Ranch's beef animals are grass fed and finished. The rotational grazing methods we employ provide the cattle with a wide variety of nutrients and the land with adequate management, eliminating the need for herbicides or pesticides. We take seriously our commitment to provide customers in Perry, Stillwater, Edmond, Oklahoma City, Tulsa, and beyond with animal proteins that they can feel good about feeding to their families.
